Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

”There comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe nor politic nor popular, but he must take it because his conscience tells him it is right.” – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Dr. King was born into a home where music played an important role. His mother, Alberta King, was an extremely talented singer/instrumentalist and a director of the choir and church organist. Dr. King always recognized the power of music as an “instrument of change.” One of Dr. King’s favorite hymns was Precious Lord, Take My Hand. This song was writen in 1932 by Rev. Thomas A. Dorsey.
