Trip to Chicago, IL – August 2018

I was recently in Chicago, IL on vacation and had an amazing time!
Have you ever been to Chicago?

During my trip I visited the Fourth Presbyterian Church; it’s a magnificent, peaceful sanctuary in the middle of the busy windy city. I took some time just to sit and admire the space. Here are a few pictures of the sanctuary – it was just beautiful.

Also during my trip I visited the Art Institute of Chicago.  The collection of art was unbelievable! I thoroughly enjoyed walking through and seeing the various exhibits. While viewing the various galleries of art there were two pianofortes. Here are pictures of two pianofortes that were on display at the institute.

Pianoforte – The full name of the piano, the common musical instrument
with a board of black and white keys, eighty-eight in all. The keys operate
hammers that strike wires. Pianoforte is Italian for “soft-loud”; it received
this name because its level of loudness depends on how hard the player
strikes the keys. (dictionary.com)

I had a fantastic time and you can see more about my trip by clicking here to see my moment on twitter.
