"When October Goes" by J. Mercer and B. Manilow

Johnny Mercer is considered on of the great lyricist and after his death his wife gave Barry Manilow some of his lyrics to add music and complete some of the songs. One of them was “When October Goes”. Johnny agreed to have surgery for a brain tumor on October 15, 1975. He later died on July 22, 1976. He must have known something to write these lyrics at that time – “When October Goes.”

Barry Manilow added music to these lyrics and some have called it “cinematic”. It is a beautiful song, hope you enjoy.
