I am a Barry Manilow fan, also known as a #Fanilow. I love his style – his music, his lyrics, his stage presence… I got tickets to see him in concert when he came here to New Orleans on January 29 and wow what a show!! Now let me say, I’m not a front row Barry Manilow fan, but was not going to pass up an opportunity to see him live in concert! Especially on the tour titled “One Last Time”. Even being 72 that man can sing!
I, along with thousands of others, sang along to Mandy, whistled to Can’t Smile Without You, danced to Copacabana with the disco ball spinning. What a great concert!!
His music inspires me, musically. I have a few songs on sheet music and enjoy playing them. Of course, I have my favorites to play such as Through the Rain, Even Now, and a few others. Favorites to sing? Well.. It’s a Miracle, Copacabana, I’ll just stop there.. Lol
