All I Have is Yours – First Recording with Vocals
People have been asking me lately “Why don’t you sing more?”. I have been playing it off with “I created a hashtag #IOnlySingOnSundays”. To be honest I don’t think I have a great voice. Yes, I can sing, but do people really want to hear it?
For a little over a year know I have been singing every Sunday, before I only directed the choir. It has been fun! I enjoy singing, even though my vocal chords are still adjusting to singing so much so often.
Below is the first song I have recorded myself playing and singing. I am working on creating a home studio that is equip with recording vocals. It has been a work in progress!
Its not the best quality, but was fun to experiment!!
The song is titled “All I Have is Yours” written by Rebecca Elliot and Bobby Gilles. It has very powerful words and is themed around of offering: the giving of ourselves to the one who gave us everything.
Here are the lyrics:
Creator, Giver of all things,
All I have is yours
Accept my humble offering,
All I Have Is Yours
When I was chained to greed and pride,
Tight-fisted, destined just to die
You paid my debt and bought my life —
All I have is Yours.
All I have, all I have, all I have is yours.
This offering is a means of grace:
All I have is Yours
You show me this to grow my faith:
All I have is Yours
The more I give, the less I need,
I learn that You’ll provide for me
Was blind to this, but now I see:
All I Have is Yours.
All I have, all I have, all I have is yours.
I hope you enjoy!
