Wow, so much has changed..
Let’s begin…
Two weeks ago I attended Trinity Episcopal Church in New Orleans. The sanctuary was astounding! The organ was roaring, rattling the stain glass windows. I knew this was going to be good, but had no idea what was about to happen. The choir begin to enter in and singing in harmony, again the organ resounding with excitement. The cross and banners began to enter and I noticed a rainbow flag. The music was amazing. The choir, unbelievable! The pastor, wow, let me say he started of this amazing message with a story about his wife and kids, good intro. The scripture reference was based around “in Christ it here is no more Greek or Jew, circumcised our uncircumcised”.. and etc.. then he said it, no straight or gay. I was blown away. I felt so at home, churches are finally beginning to realize that we are no different than any other human being and to God it really doesn’t matter. The service continued, each further piece mesmerizing me even more. The end of service came and the choir processed out followed by those banners and then the bishops and pastor. I left fulfilled. Not only a beautiful sanctuary, magnificent organ, astounding choir but also is feeling of inclusion. Wow.
